Autumn Day = Food, Fun, Fellowship
On September 11, Patriot Day, more than 7,000 Masons, their family and friends attended Autumn Day at the Masonic Village at Elizabethtown. The annual open house featured its traditional fare, and attendees consumed a whopping 15,756 sandwiches (hot dog and sausage), 225 gallons of bean soup, 940 vegetable plates, 18,076 drinks and 11,952 ice cream novelties! It just goes to show that fun, fellowship and food go hand-in hand!
The featured entertainment included the Greater Kensington String Band; children's games, provided by Elizabethtown Job's Daughters; roaming jugglers; clowns; tours of the 1,400 acre campus; and farm market, woodworking, crafts, food and Masonic information stands.
